Let your inner guppy out of the goldfish bowl to swim free! Let’s make the most of these summer days. Get active in the water at Independence Lake, Rolling Hills, Splash Universe and other fin-tastic watery locations.

How do we make a meal from things we grow and share? Reading “Stone Soup” stories will lead us into cooking and gardening activities. Gardens are magical settings filled with aromas, colors, and patterns that excite the imagination and awaken the senses. Grab your gloves! We will calculate ways to design our space, and discover the order and patterns of growth as we tend our plants. A trip to the Farmers’ Market will provide us with produce for our shared cooking project. Campers will learn how to plant a garden, measure growth, identify patterns, plant in shapes, graph observations, find weight, and of course taste new fruits and vegetables.

Let the faeries steal you away to this camp where we will take a look at their secret world. Our two age groups will separate and come together for different age-appropriate activities as we explore the magical realms of the little people. We’ll tell and listen to stories about them, we’ll make art and plays about them and we will go on hunts for the faeries in the woods. We’ll make faery doors and boats as gifts for our tiny friends. Older campers may explore the rich literature of faeryland and try their hand at scenes from Shakespeare or create their own theatrical work. Don’t forget to put out sugar for the faeries each evening!
